Mexico City, November 16, 2023.- To sustain the development of the network necessary to transport different products to their destinations in a safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly manner, SAC Transportes, a Mexican company specializing in the transportation of hazardous materials, will add 35 new Sitrak tractor-trailers powered by liquefied natural gas to its fleet.
During the 20th edition of Expo Transporte, SAC Transportes Operations Manager, Carlos Mata, explained that “Opting for tractor-trailers powered by fuels such as LNG -liquefied natural gas allows our users to reduce their environmental impact, obtain up to 3,000 km of autonomy to make fewer stops during transport, and reduce costs to maintain more competitive prices in their supply chain”.
In 2023, the company specialized in hazardous materials added to its offer: general cargo and maritime containers, as well as HAZMAT transfer at the border for general cargo, thus complementing its specific route and dedicated service alternatives.
This has allowed them to collaborate with more companies throughout Mexico from diverse industries: automotive, pharmaceutical, raw materials, and non-perishable food and beverages, among others.
“One of the goals we have for 2024 is to grow our fleet by 60% in line with newly agreed projects; start cryogenic haul trials in the Pacific; increase our sustainability programs; and boost the HAZMAT transfer service at the U.S. border.”
Throughout the current year, the company has gained strength through monitoring, 24/7 tracking, GPS telemetry in all its units, and a comprehensive training program for operators. All in line with strict safety protocols and measures.
Carlos also highlights that, only two years after starting operations, SAC Transportes has integrated sustainable technology solutions that contribute to streamlining operations and strengthening Mexico’s trucking and logistics industry.
